The Panasonic DMC-FS35 Violet Digital Camera a Good Allrounder

by Mike Teller on July 14, 2011

The Panasonic DMC-FS35 Violet Digital Camera incorporates some of Panasonic’s newest innovations in photography into a compact and well designed digital camera with a colour range to suit anyone’s taste. Of particular note is the clever use of the optics and sensors to capture and get closer to moving objects without losing focus. The Leica DC Vario-elmar lens is a complex assembly of 9 elements in groups with aspherical lenses and surfaces that allows wide angle shots with the 28mm focal length as well as long distance with the 8 x optical zoom recording images in 16.1 megapixel resolution. The unique assembly of the lens allows it to fit into the compact nature of the camera.

The CCD sensor is coupled to what Panasonic have termed a high performance Venus Engine VI allowing higher quality recording and signal processing. This means that the camera is able to distinguish subject outlines and differentiating the softer textures and then processing pixel by pixel for a cleaner sharper picture. Focusing is assisted by software to lock on to a moving target by tracking the movement and the intelligent exposure feature will read the lighting conditions for that perfect exposure reducing the risk of spoiled shots during that critical moment.

The FS35 can shoot HD video in 1280 X 720p at 24 frames per second as well as VGA at 640 x 480 which can be played back on HDTV from storage memory card, from connecting the camera directly or uploaded to the net to share with your buddies.
